1. Transportation Engineering Landscape and Urban-rural Ecology
It focuses on traffic corridors and other major engineering systems, from the ecological impact of the simulation assessment and restoration, visual environmental impact assessment, and optimization of the two major areas. The study is comprehensive and cross-cutting and can be applied to the construction of multi-types of engineering landscape. It is of positive significance to carry out green development's national ecological strategy and ensure the environmental rationality and total value of significant engineering construction.
2. Protection and Development of Local Historical Heritage
Combined with China's Rural Revitalization Strategy, it integrates the landscape architecture department's research in historical towns and villages, traditional gardens, heritage protection, sustainable rural development, and other aspects. It studies the form, historical value, protection and development strategies, ecological threats and coping strategies, and landscape historical heritage's regional characteristics from a multidisciplinary perspective. With the integration of science, art, and design, it carries out the protection and development of historical and cultural villages, and traditional gardens in Western China, and focuses the characteristic landscape in high altitude and multi-ethnic areas.
3. Landscape Planning and Design: Methods and Theories
It studies landscape architecture's scientific design methods that can cope with future urban development and apply to the national and local green development goals. Based on the unique natural and cultural resources in Western China, it researches combination with the policy guidance of China's strong support for the construction of Park City demonstration area in Chengdu. The close combination of scientific research results and social service practice will develop multi-level landscape planning and design methods and theoretical research in the scale of region, city, and community.
